    Provides support and information to victims of rape and/or sexual assault and to their families and friends.

    A community service offering information and referral assistance, encouragement and support through case management and volunteer services.                       Anyone experiencing a life-limiting illness is eligible for services once physician consent is given.
  • Kidney Health Alliance of Kentucky - 859-277-8259
    Seeks solutions to kidney disease while providing patient services to improve quality of life.
  • Recovery Center - 859-236-2726
    Provides individual and family outpatient treatment for drug abuse/dependence and domestic violence.
  • Nursing Home Ombudsman of the Bluegrass - 1-877-787-0077
    Advocates for nursing home residents to express concerns, assert legal rights, and maintain dignity.
  • Regain, Inc. - 859-236-2727
    Provides a community-based outpatient program that promotes cardiac health, education and rehabilitation to the recovering cardiac patient in a safe, supportive and nurturing environment.

Responding to Basic Needs

    Provide disaster relief and community education for emergency awareness, and serves as a liaison for military families.
  • BGCAP Self Sufficiency - 859-236-2955
    To enable low-income families in Boyle and Mercer counties to become self-sufficient and eliminate the need for public assistance. To promote transition for clients served from dependence to long term independent living.
  • Family Services Association - 859-236-3863
    Provides short-term assistance for basic living expenses to low-income residents of Boyle County who are experiencing a temporary financial hardship.

Strengthening Families

  • Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program - 800-544-2022
    Serves and advocates for women and families affected by domestic violence, provides safe shelters for adults and children, and professional resources such as counseling.
  • Centro Latino - 859-238-2266
    Fosters positive relationships in the Latino community and connects Spanish speakers with existing social services in Danville, free of charge.
  • Habitat for Humanity - 859-236-9153
    Affords the opportunity for home ownership to qualified low-income families while working to eliminate sub-standard housing in Boyle County.
  • The Salvation Army - 859-236-4473
    Provides food, shelter, clothing, and utility payments to people in emergency situations. Offers characteristic building, educational, recreational, and life skills programs for youth and adults.

Fostering Independence

    Serves homebound elderly people by providing companions to assist with transportation, light housekeeping, and respite for caregivers.

    Provide homecare and personal services to senior citizens, including meals, transportation, wellness care, and recreational and referral services.
  • Danville/Boyle County Literacy Council - 859-238-1303
    Teaches adults to read and write, work towards their GED and/or citizenship, and/or learn English through one-on-one tutor-student interaction.
  • Mercer County Adult Education & Learning Center - 859-734-4195
    To teach adults... Education is accomplished by first finding out the individual goals of the adults and then helping them to achieve that.

    Offers support for developmentally disabled citizens and their families, and seeks to educate the public about these disabilities.

    Provides adult-to-child mentors for at-risk children, along with school mentoring programs.
